Grants

Shelter with spirit provides small grants to partner non profit organizations which are active in the construction and renovation of homes for the economically disadvantaged in Central Texas.

These grants are intended to enable needy families to avail themselves of green building technology consistent with standards established by the City of Austin “Green building program.”

For example, SWS may partner with a non profit community development corporation that is interested in using low VOC (volatile organic compounds), or no VOC paints, sealers and stains to ensure that the indoor air quality is more healthful for client families.
